Request deletion without the app

You can request deletion of your Oruna account and its associated data without installing or opening Oruna. Email inquiries@oruna.live with the subject Oruna account deletion request.

Include your Oruna username and, if possible, send the request from the email address associated with your account. If you no longer have access to that email address, say so. We need to verify that you control the account before deleting it. Do not send your password or sign-in codes.

Review what deletion covers and the retention details below before requesting permanent deletion.

Delete from the app

1. Open Oruna and sign in to the account you want to delete.
2. Open your profile and tap Edit Profile.
3. In the Your profile panel, find the Account section and tap Delete account.
4. On Before You Go, tap Delete Account to continue.
5. Read the deletion details. If asked, sign in again, then return to the deletion screen.
6. Type DELETE, then tap Permanently Delete Account.

When your request is accepted, Oruna locks the account, revokes active sessions, and starts permanent deletion. The account cannot be recovered.

What deletion covers

Oruna’s deletion process removes or de-identifies account-associated information from active systems, including account and profile information, authored prayers, posts, comments and messages, uploaded media, recordings and replays you control, and identifiable activity information.

Deletion from active systems is designed to finish within 30 days, subject to the limited legal, safety, security, and other retention circumstances described in the Privacy Policy. Deleted information may remain temporarily in encrypted backups until those backups expire, with planned retention of no more than 90 days.

Shared structures may remain for other users. Copies that someone independently made or distributed outside Oruna may remain outside our control. The Privacy Policy explains these limits and the limited records that may be retained.

Delete selected data and keep your account

You can delete eligible content you control using its in-app delete action. To delete a prayer you created:

1. Open your prayer in Oruna.
2. Open its actions menu and choose Delete prayer.
3. Confirm deletion.

This removes the selected prayer without deleting your account. See the Privacy Policy for applicable retention details.
